Grape Seeds Give Health Benefits

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well! Today, I want to share some ideas about grape seeds.

About 5 months ago, I bought 5 lbs. of grape seeds. I had initially read that eating grape seeds can assist in actually reversing the health effects on the body by smoking.

I’ve read that antioxidants in grape seeds could be close to 20x better than those commonly found in vegetables and fruits. Brain health and memory can be improved by ingesting grape seed, I’ve read as well.

My condition, schizophrenia, tends to be a degenerative illness, but I think that medications, supplements and vitamins can ease transitions throughout adulthood.

I’ve been eating (chewing) 50 grape seeds nearly every day, for a few months. Ever so often, I’ll make grape seed tea with them, and just recently I started grinding them as if they were coffee beans (which makes a much darker tea). I would describe the taste and smell of whole grape seeds as “medicinal”. I often think of purple as having a similar effect when used in ink and design.

Thank you all for reading! I thought I would take a picture of some of my grape seeds and include them at the top of this blog entry. Take care!

1st Post on LBL in Some Time

Chris Milbourn, www.localsbeforelegends.com

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well! It has been quite a while since I made a new blog entry here on Locals Before Legends.

After updating the app I use for maintaining LBL last night, I was thrilled to see that I could now access my website. I was planning on waiting until the reported-to-be-forthcoming iPod 8th Generation is released before figuring out storage for apps. I use an older Generation iPod as my main internet device, in addition to my daily music listening with headphones plugged in.

For now, a different version of the same app I use for localsbeforelegends.com on the same internet device will be just fine!

Since my last blog entry, I’ve been continuing my monthly therapy visits, psychiatry visits, anti-psychotic medication, and anxiety relief medication that are recommended and prescribed to me. I’ve also been been buying a lot of ginseng and glycine supplements for further mental health support. I have continued to remain a non-drug user and non-drinker.

I have fun maintaining my monthly expense budgets, working on DJ practices and buying vinyl records and songs in digital formats, cleaning and taking care of my plants, and drinking coffee, tea, juice and water while playing video games and exercising.

I did buy used Technics 1200 turntables in the spring! They are a lot of fun. Below, I’ve attached pictures of the turntables (the mixer in the middle is not new), and a picture of a newer vinyl music release that I ordered somewhat recently. I hope you’re all doing well, once again. Thank you!

Characters Impersonating Others Through Voices In Schizophrenia

Chris Milbourn, Locals Before Legends

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well! If you’re hearing words and messages in the sound of your own voice, and you’re hearing replies to those words and messages in your own voice, you wouldn’t think anything was wrong. That is how a lot of voices go undetected. However, some voices will impersonate other voices, including your own.

Another issue that comes up in schizophrenia is when you start hearing your thoughts, words and messages in the voices of other people, as if there’s someone else thinking for you. If you have a train of thought that sounds like it’s coming from another voice, you might decide that you don’t enjoy it. Do you refuse to follow the ideas and thoughts from the unfamiliar voices, even if they’re giving you some good advice on occasion (furthermore, is the occasionally good advice merely a way to build trust?)

Do you want to act upon their ideas and their suggestions? Do you want to do the opposite of what the strange voices are telling you to do? How do you trust your own thoughts if invasive characters in schizophrenia are impersonating your own, internal voice? That’s when your decision making in life can become questionable.

I thought I would put this online to possibly help other people with schizophrenia, and to describe some of my experience as a schizophrenia patient.

Overall, I’ve been doing well as of late! I’m continuing my mental health treatment. I’m excited about baseball season. I’m continuing to order vinyl records to support my DJ practices, and I just found out that I’m eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine! In addition, I just received a new stimulus payment. I hope you’re all doing well! I hope that more about schizophrenia can be discovered in the future. Take care!

Drawing 22

Drawing 22, by Chris Milbourn for Locals Before Legends

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well. Today, I’m uploading my 22nd drawing to Locals Before Legends. It’s a collection of mostly horizontal shapes resembling a stack of pancakes. I used a small amount of black marker and mostly pencil for it. Take care!
