Hello! I hope you’re all doing well! In the time since the last entry on LBL, I finished reading the Bible (King James Version). I started from the beginning, about two years ago, when I was starting to recover from trauma, and made incremental progress leading up to a point last month where I finally finished the last page of the Revelations of Jesus Christ.
That book, sections about Solomon and all of Psalms were likely some of my favorite parts of the King James Version.
I did take notes on various passages/verses that I learned from throughout, to hopefully look up at different times in the future.
It’s a beautiful book.
Music by Erykah Badu, Thievery Corporation and assortments of new and old drum and bass were very helpful in getting through the Bible.
Some people only read the new testament, or only the old testament, but I started from the beginning and though it took me 2 years, I finished finally. Some of the voices I experience in schizophrenia were trying to keep me from reading the Bible early on when I started reading it in 2020. But I persevered and eventually finished it!
I hope more can be learned about schizophrenia soon. Please take care as the weather is changing around the Earth.
